Regarded as the future of fashion by a multitude of respected publications around the world, former model turned designer Jason Christopher Peters has steadily made his mark in the fashion world nearly 17 years strong.
Since departing an invaluable internship experience led by fashion legend Betsey Johnson, a brief time on Tyra Banks’ “Stylista” reality show and recently meeting Vogues Anna Wintour, Jason is one of the most sought after names in the business. With his designs featured in covers, tearsheets and articles for magazines such as ELLE, People, Cosmopolitan, Star, US Weekly, Genre, OK!, Teen People, and many more, the brand is shaking grounds throughout the fashion industry.
Peters designs can be seen on the likes of such celebrities including Brandy, Omarion, Paris Hiton, Stephen Baldwin, Ochoc Cinco, Housewives of NJ, NYC and Atlanta, Aubrey Oday, Ruby Rose and more! His collections have also graced television on networks as Fox, ABC, NBC, MTV and VH1!

WWS: “What sparked your interest in fashion?”
JCP: “I guess you can say that I’ve always been a very artistically intelligent and creatively curious man even as a young child. I remember sketching as young as 4 years old. I was immensely fascinated by culture art beauty glamour. I would always watch the Miss USA and Universe pageants with my grams Dolores Mae Peters and anything that had to do with a “Hollywood lifestyle.”
WWS: “How do you balance creativity with business?”
JCP: “My mind never stops creating. Its like there must be some little creative workers in my head running on an electric wheel never allowing the imagination curiosity and true love for fashion to stop in my brain. Business is always great because I am a true businessman. I mix both of them together pretty well.
WWS: “What is the biggest lesson that you have learned since you started your fashion company?”
JCP: “The biggest lesson is patience and that timing is everything. You have to keep an open mind heart and soul if your going to be in this billion-dollar industry while staying true to whom you are.”
WWS: “Where do you find the inspiration for each JCP (fashion) collection?”
JCP: “Inspiration comes from real life experiences.”
WWS: “What kind of feedback did you get on the collection?”
JCP: ” The reaction from my “Circus” themed collection has been truly amazing. People love it and I am blessed!”
WWS: “How has your work evolved since you began your own label?”
JCP: “I started when I was a teenager and now almost 17 years later it has evolved and continues to evolve in a way that I could never have imagined. Its all pretty f-ing phenomenal!”
WWS: “When is your next fashion show?”
JCP: “I am headed to New York Fashion Week in less then a week. My next shows are set for DC, Atlanta, Hollywood and Miami.”
WWS: “What advice would you give to young designers starting out?”
JCP: “Never Conform.”
